The invitational River Coalition Gathering, hosted by Watershed Conservation Resource Center, was held on April 25 at The River Commons & Institute in east Fayetteville. Among those in attendance were leaders from the Osage Nation, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas Black Heritage Association.

Last month, the Fayetteville public library had a small fire on their roof that caused damage to the structure of the building. It brought smoke to the administrative offices and parts of their expanded collection.
