Scratching the Surface: Labyrinths on Titan

NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASI

Labyrinths in Space? Yes, the elaborate mazes of Greek mythology may not just be a human invention.

Welcome to Scratching the Surface with Caitlin Ahrens, the Pluto Manager at the University of Arkansas Center for Space and Planetary Science.

Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is host to a strange and jagged terrain and forms, in some areas, deep walls that crisscross to make maze-like patterns. In this episode Caitlin breaks down the unusual lunar corridors and how a group of scientists from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory are on the hunt to find what causes this anomaly.

Scratching the Surface airs Fridays at 2:04 pm. For more on the Center for Space and Planetary Science, visit spacecenter.uark.edu/
