Of Note for Wednesday, October 1: Stravinsky's Rite, a Journey Like No Other

There's still simply no musical journey like the one Stravinsky takes us on in his groundbreaking work "Rite of Spring." Leonard Bernstein calls it "only one of your everyday volcanic masterpieces ... a miraculous new creation of such originality and power that still today and shocks and overwhelms us."

Bernstein may have written that decades ago but the statement still holds true. Catch "Rite of Spring" in its entirety from Leonard Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic on Wednesday's Of Note with Katy Henriksen.
