Of Note for Wednesday, February 18: Bernstein's Inspiration from Plato

Leonard Bernstein wrote his Serenade after Plato's "Symposium" in 1954. Although there is no literap program for the serenade the movements correspond with elements from the philosopher's work.  Hear the fascinating piece featuring violinist Zina Francescatti on Wednesday's program.
