The Riverview Hope Campus in Fort Smith opened on Sept. 29 with a capacity of 105 beds, but the homeless shelter was almost full within days, a milestone the shelter's executive director did not expect to make until a couple months from now. Besides a place to sleep, the facility also has a Mercy health clinic, a laundry room and a cafeteria that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
