Marcus Sakey writes novels that tweak our real world just a bit. His books consider cops, criminals, a bit of fantasty and...sometimes...the world beyond death. He'll be a speaker at Sunday's Books in Bloom in Eureka Springs from noon to 5 p.m. at the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa.

Martin Philip's life didn't take him directly to baking. He grew up in the Arkansas Ozarks and has had quite a route to his position as head baker at King Arthur Flour. He'll be at the Books in Bloom Literary Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in Eureka Springs. He talks to us about his book, Breaking Bread: A Baker's Journey Home in 75 Recipes.
