KUAF Music Mixdown

On-demand as a podcast

Although primarily a news-talk format, KUAF features plenty of music content recorded right in our studios. In this podcast, we gather the latest and greatest music interviews and performances we've aired on Ozarks at Large, The Pickin' Post, Shades of Jazz, The Generic Blues Show and Of Note. We also dip into our archives to pull out some of our favorite in-studio performances from the past.

On this edition of the podcast, we hear from Waco, Texas based rock duo Lomelda, Siloam Springs based singer-songwriter Karissa Hobbs, who is joined on guitar by Jacob Paul, and from Fayetteville musician Cody Nielsen who is accompanied by Shae Hatfield.

Thousands of bands throughout the U.S. entered into NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concert Contest. While more than a dozen bands in the greater Fayetteville area entered into the contest, at least seven of those bands have performed in the KUAF studios or live on KUAF in the past five years.  Below is a track listing of each band we feature, and at the bottom of the post, you can find a link to NPR Music's site that has all of the entries into the Tiny Desk Concert Contest from the Fayetteville area.
