Ozarks at Large Food Podcast Ep 01: All Your Local Food News In One Place

This area has seen a culinary explosion in recent years. Couple that with strong rural traditions, farming, and food production and you have a lot of stories to tell. Ozarks at Large has been producing fascinating food stories all along, and you’ve probably caught some of them. But we all lead busy lives, and maybe we don’t catch every episode of the show. For you, the frustrated foodies,  here’s a convenient collection of those stories,  and some extras, all in one place.  In this inaugural episode, you’ll hear more from horticulturist Professor Curt Rom and daughter  Zoe about the history of strawberries in this area, and the latest innovations in growing them - including exciting news about a longer strawberry season here in the natural state. You can also find out about an Indian restaurant serving authentic eats out of truck stop near Mulberry, sweet treats from a local chocolate start up, donning a blindfold for dinner in Bentonville, and why “eating local” matters for the poorest in our community too.
