Dr. Jim Greeson, who recently retired after a long career as professor of music at the University of Arkansas, is the documentarian who brought us the film Conlon Nancarrow: Virtuoso of the Player Piano. Greeson’s latest film, The Caged Bird: The Life of Florence B. Price, debuts on AETN November 16 and screens at the Fayetteville Public Library Nov. 17. “I felt that I should concern myself with the work of Arkansans, and in my case, the work of Arkansas composers,” Greeson explained in a recent chat with Katy Henriksen.
