Through a new study abroad program to Haiti this summer, Haitian native and NorthWest Arkansas Community College faculty member Yanick St. Jean is hoping to combat negative stereotypes about her people and teach students about the history and culture of the Caribbean nation. The trip, which is scheduled for June 16-25, is open to students and members of the community.
