Samuel Morse is best known for his work with the telegraph and Morse code.  Prior to those inventions, Morse spent three years in Paris studying art.  As a means to bring works of art to the American people, Morse painted Gallery of the Louvre, a work that contains 38 other works within it.  An exhibition of the large painting begins Saturday at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
