"A Dream Come True:" Recording Brahms on Pablo Cassals' Cello

Amit Peled/CAP Records

For Amit Peled, To Brahms With Love is more than an album, it is a true sentiment. He says love, or a childhood crush, led to his lifelong relationship with the cello.

In time, Peled found love in two Brahms cello sonatas, particularly in a casette tape of Pablo Casals' recording of those sonatas. Now, the boy from a kibbutz in Israel plays those very pieces on Casals' cello on his newest album.

"I literally listened to this at some point in my life every single day," he says. "Now recording those two Sonatas on the same cello makes it... a dream come true."
