Ozark Natural Science Center, headquartered in rural Madison County, has partnered with the city of Fayetteville to lease a vacant environmental study center on Lake Fayetteville. Permanent, pop-up and private petition signing events coordinated by Arkansans for Limited Government are taking place across the state, including in northwest Arkansas. The aim is to collect a sufficient number of voter signatures to place the Arkansas Abortion Amendment on the November 24 ballot. If approved, the citizen-initiated law will restrict Arkansas state lawmakers and officials from banning access to abortion.
